Construct & De-Construct This exhibition is a meeting of two local artists, Michelle, who builds her works using a combination of traditional collage techniques and digital technology and Mary, who refines her painterly vision in large abstracted shapes. Here, collage and digital technology meets traditional oil painting on canvas. Illustrator Michelle Thompson, using a technique of layered images using found objects which she manipulates digitally to create edgy glimpses of an urban environment. In contrast, painter Mary Romer de-constructs the landscape into a distilled memory of shapes and colour.
