Music, literature and psychogeography meet in Evie's work. Her experience of synæsthesia is reflected in intense colour, expressing and exploring a variety of cognitive experiences.

Multiple layers, symbolism and a sense of ritual create depth and texture, resulting in what have been described as “tides of colour”.

Regardless of the main image, within each painting there are further levels of meaning, both revealed and hidden. Each painting is a one-off, as an image emerges, evolves and matures until the impulse to paint cannot be ignored. This intense, meticulous process ensures that each work is entirely individual and unrepeatable.
